Yesterday we headed to Königs Wusterhausen, a town just outside Berlin, in Brandenburg. While there, we came across this fabulous playground. It's certainly not the biggest I've been too before but I can 100% say it's my favourite to date...
Set just off a little path by the river, this playground has so much to offer in it's small space. It's definitely one for the warmer days, with it's water pumps that push the water through the rocks and crevices much to the delight of the children who were ankle deep in it. The playground is a mix of sand and water, bridges and pumps. On one side there is a large wooden boat for children to clamber up and slide down, there's a type of moat behind it with bridges across and a rickety wooden house with different levels on the other side.
There are a number of carved wooden creatures to be found around the playground so keep your eyes peeled and, whilst there are no baby swings, there is one of the large, round swings that you can lay or sit a baby in and push.
We had great fun in the playground and I can't wait to go back with my five year old on a hot summer's day and let the boys splash around in the water. You can check out their tourist site (in German) for information about activities and events here.
