I spied this little beauty a couple of months back purely by accident as I took a wrong turn and can't wait to take my boys there.
Definitely a must-do playground for the mini train fans, it is such a cute idea that kids can have their very own S-Bahn train to drive! The train features lots of little tunnels, bridges, a slide and plenty of climbing opportunities so is actually more complex than it looks on first inspection. Yes, it is covered in graffiti, but it is in pretty good condition other then that and the sand was nice.
There are currently no swings in the playground, however they have been doing up the small green area surrounding the train and you can see a structure that should have them so they may well be coming.
I can't wait to take my 4 year old here, I think he will love it and it would be really cute to have a group of friends playing on it. They could all go on their travels together.

There are plenty of cafes/restaurants within a short walk of the playground, making it a good place to go before lunch or on an afternoon out. For anyone living in, or visiting Friedrichshain, go check this little beauty out.
Nearest train station is Ostkreuz (obviously!)
