Another day in Berlin and another fun playground to check out. Neukölln's Hasenheide Park features two great playgrounds, both of which will be featured on here. The first of the two includes a walk past a small area featuring animals and pony rides (although I have never been there at the right time for the rides!).
I have to say that I always find the animals look rather undernourished and not well looked after, but maybe I'm wrong there?! Milo loves the chance to see them though before we head to the playground at the bottom of the small hill.
Due to a number of children being there, I couldn't get a good shot of the playground in its entirety but it features lots to do for big and small. With a strong emphasis on climbing and balance, on the one side you have fun wooden elements for the smaller legs to try out, a long wooden snake to walk across and a large bouncy leather trampoline. On the other side there is a bigger climbing area (as pictured above) with a number of options for the bravest of climbers including rope walks, chain lines and a little structure to sit in on top.
Also for the smaller kids, there is the odd rocking animal and plenty of sand to build things in of course! On a particularly nice day there is plenty of grass in the park to enjoy a picnic, a dog walking area for those with dogs and lots of paths to explore.
