Family-Friendly Thermal Baths & Spa's

Spa's needn't be just for those living up the single life, there are plenty not too far from Berlin where the children can feel just as free to enjoy and many that offer specific family-friendly activities too. Here is a list of the thermal baths and 'Wellness' (or Spa) retreats that offer fun for all the family.
SaarowTherme
Address: Am Kurpark 1, 15526 Bad Saarow, Brandenburg
Info: Located by Scharmützelsee, this popular Spa offers plenty for families. As well as the normal spa offerings such as sauna, massages etc, they also offer children's swim courses and baby swim classes. You can either visit for a day trip or spend the night in one of their various apartments.

Hotel zur Bleiche Resort and Spa
Address: Bleichestrade 16, 03096 Burg im Spreewald
Info: This hotel offers a special family pool and a sauna for children. When the weather is right, there are also plenty of outdoor activities to keep the children entertained in the Spreewald. For older children, there is a free program of children's activities.

NaturTherme in Templin
Address:

Info: This thermal pool in Templin offers plenty for children including whirlpools, a wave pool, a grotto walkway (a section that is heated to 36 degrees and filled with salt water, a waterfall, bubble pool and much more.

Spreewelten Sauna and Badeparadies Lübbenau

Alte Huttung 13, 03222 Lübbenau/Spreewald
Info: Beyond the sauna, this spa offers a wave machine, a stream channel and two large water slides indoors and outside, a water playground, beach volleyball, table tennis, a sports arena and penguins! Yes, penguins! From the water you can see the penguins swimming in their own water right next door. You can even watch the penguins being fed daily at 11am and 3.30pm.

Tropical Islands

Info: Offering something quite different to your typical 'spa retreat', Tropical Islands is set inside a giant dome south of Berlin, with saunas, a tropical forest, hot air balloons, swimming pools and a smaller, warmer kids pool, large water slides and much more. Info: Alongside two super high speed slide for the brave children, this thermal spa offers whirlpools and a special small children's space 'Kleinkinderwelt'

Landhotel Burg in Spreewald
Address: 
Ringchaussee 125, 03096 Burg, Spreewald
Info: Alongside the saunas and other typical spa treats, you can find a children's petting zoo at this Spreewald spa hotel. There is a children' program of activities available and they also offer paddle boats for when the weather allows.

Aquarium Schwedt

Info: This Wellness spa offers a play area for the children, a baby swim course, large and small water slides, a whirlpool and a non-swimmer pool for those who aren't yet confident in the water.

Info: This spa offers a special family sauna area as well as a large pool that is perfect for children. It features two large water slides, a dragon palace, a waterfall, a whirlpool and a special warmer water pool for the little ones.

Info: This family-friendly spa has plenty to entertain children big and small with water slides, a warm water pool for the little ones featuring spraying water and shallow water options. There is also a whirlpool, fast water slides for the older kids and indoor and outdoor pools on offer.
