Not every parent is skilled at cutting a child's hair (I know this from painful personal experience!) so finding a patient hairdresser, experienced with cutting kid's hair, is a blessing. Here are my tips on where to go to get your child's hair cut in Berlin.. although, tbh, I feel there must be more, as the list is not that long. Please do get in touch if you know any more!

Hairlich Natürlich
Stargarder Str. 25, 10437 Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg)
Phone: 030 4057 4045
Website
Info: This salon has a dedicated children's area and are happy for the kids to sit at a table with toys, on their parent's lap, or, during my son's cut, Peppa Pig playing on a personal tablet, so that Mr Fidget Bottom was tamed. Price is calculated at €0.17 per cm height of your child, which doesn't work out terribly cheap tbh, I was a bit shocked, but thankfully, he's quite short. .. ha!

Style House (Friedrichshain)
Gubernerstrasse 40, 10243
Phone: 030 2235 6245
Website

Friseur Q (Kreuzberg)
Lindenstraße 76, 10969 Berlin
Phone:
030 25325200
Info: A play area and TVs make sure your little tyke will be well entertained while awaiting and during their cut. Prices are decent too, with €1 for ages 1-5 and up to 14 is just €9.50

Kinderfrisör Max und Pippilotta (Konradshöhe)
Falkenplatz 9 A, 13505 Berlin
Phone: 030 43660330
Website
Info: Berlin's first children's hair salon, prices are based on age of the child and range between €10 - €14 with an extra €5 for washing and drying.

Franka Cornelius (Bergfelde)
Birkenwerderstraße 23, 16562
Phone: 033 03215 515

Website
Info: This may be a bit far for many in the northern reaches of Berlin, but their cool kiddie area complete a motorbike and aeroplane instead of hairdressing stools are sure to calm any scissor-phobe. Appointments are not always necessary here.

Tröndle Junior
Tauentzienstraße 21 -24, 10789 Berlin (Charlottenburg)
Phone: 030 2121 2237
Website
Info: Set on the 3rd floor of the KaDeWe department store, the children's area features fun seats for the kids to have their hair cut on and screens next to the mirror for those who struggle to sit still. Prices are calculated based on the height of the child.

Travelling hairdressers
I've also been told of two fellow expats who will come to your home to cut your hair, and they are highly recommended: Marlene and Frances.
Do you know of another salon that should be added to the list? There must be more out there!

I was looking for this sort of information a few weeks ago and had no idea I'd been walking past one a shop that'd cut my son's hair just about every weekend. So frustrating to realize I understand less than I thought!
