Where: Möckernstraße 26, 10963 Berlin (Kreuzberg)
Why: This place has always been a hit with my older boy, since he was a toddler and having taken my baby there recently too, I realised how appealing it is for babies too. Spectrum offers lots of things to press and pull, opportunities for your toddler or child to learn about water, electricity, sound and more and plenty of things for baby to watch and hear and even join in with too. My full review, including more photos of Berlin's Science Center Spectrum, can be found here.
Where: Straße zum FEZ 2, 12459 Berlin (Köpenick)
Why: FEZ is a great option in all weathers. Set in the Wuhlheide park, it offers plenty to do for all the family. For rainy and snowy days, it has indoor facilities which includes a soft-play area for the babies and an indoor climbing frame for the toddlers/younger children. In the warmer months, there are a number of outdoor playgrounds which offer fun for all ages, as well as the cute miniature Berlin models in the Modellpark Berlin-Brandenburg and small trains to ride on. For the older kids, there is Kletterwald Wuhlheide, a large area within the forest where older children can clamber and climb among the trees (for children aged 7 and over.) My review of FEZ, including photos and opening times, can be read here.
Kinderoase Teltow
Where: Bahnstraße 2, 14513 Berlin (Teltow)
Why: This children's oasis offers both indoor and outdoor space for young and older children alike to play. With tunnels to climb through and a bouncy castle, along with a room specifically aimed at the youngest visitors, this is a fun place for all.

Why: During the summer months, Berlin's water playgrounds can provide some much needed relief from the heat whilst entertaining the kids at the same time. There are a good selection of water playgrounds in Berlin. We visited Plansche Plaenterwald last year, you can read my review here and I will be publishing a list of Berlin's best water playgrounds as the weather warms up.
Berlin Zoo
Where: Zoologischer Garten (Charlottenburg)
Why: The zoo offers plenty to see for children of all ages. The youngest visitors can enjoy simply looking at the wonderful animals big and small, whilst the older visitors can feed the farm animals in the petting zoo and get more educational value from the trip. There is also a great playground there for the kids. Berlin Zoo.
Museum of Technology
Where: Trebbiner Straße 9, 10963 Berlin (Kreuzberg9
Why: Whether your kids love trains, planes, cars or are older and want to learn about the history of computers, this museum has them all. The website for the Technik Museum is available in German and English here.
Legoland Discovery Centre
Where: Potsdamer Straße 4, 10785 Berlin (Tiergarten)
Why: Let's face it, who doesn't love playing with Lego?! This can be a fun outing for all the family and a great way to keep the kids entertained, whilst you have a go too. Note that this is on the pricier end of all the options here, and tbh, I felt it a little claustrophobic as it is underground without any natural light. There is a short film shown on a loop throughout the day though which is quite cool, with 3D glasses.
