I was recently working in the Bötzowviertel, Prenzlauer Berg and got to see this small but perfectly formed playground. Set on the corner of Bötzowstraße/Käthe-Niederkirchner-Straße, this petite playground features a wooden pirate ship with a slide, a family of ducks, a pirate on look-out and the playground classics of a swing and two rockers...
The playground is simple in many ways which makes it a good place for younger children to play. Around the outside of the sand area, there are a couple of seating areas and, when I was there, the sand was in a clean condition.
There's not a huge amount to write about the playground, as you can see all of it in the photographs. It's a shame that the playground doesn't feature a baby swing which seems to be lacking in many Berlin playgrounds. I really liked the feel of the place though and will definitely be taking the kids there next time we're in the area.
If you would like to visit the playground yourself, here are the details...
