With the temperatures still high and the summer holidays upon us, we decided to head over to Mitte this morning to check out the water playground at Nordbahnhof. I didn't take many photographs as there were lots of other children around but here's my review of this Mitte water playground.

For those of you who keep up to date with local Berlin news or follow my BFATF Facebook page, you may well have heard of the 'Drachenretter' (Dragon Saving) campaign. Following many years of being played on, the original 'Dragon Playground' had been closed, deemed unsafe. A group of parents who wanted to see it reopened weren't discouraged by the estimated €150,000 needed to rebuild the playground and set up an 'Bürgerinitiative' to do just that. Events, a FB page and a Berlin-wide campaign followed and they were successful in saving the dragon!
I was recently working in the Bötzowviertel, Prenzlauer Berg and got to see this small but perfectly formed playground.
